Delivery in action: City hands over title deeds in Nomzamo

The City’s Human Settlements Directorate continues to provide residents in the metro with dignity through property ownership. Today, 30 October 2023, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Carl Pophaim handed over title deeds to beneficiaries in Nomzamo, Strand showing the City’s delivery in action.
‘The City’s Human Settlements Directorate is moving ahead with its mission to provide dignity and to enable redress to residents in all areas in the metro. Today we made our way to Nomzamo in Strand and we will be heading to Heideveld as well as Bonteheuwel in the coming days.
‘Today is a celebration and we are happy to assist many more residents. A title deed is so much more than a piece of paper, it is a life changing document for families and their loved ones for many generations. We are assisting as many residents as possible and will continue to build a strong Cape Town together.
‘We are encouraging eligible residents to come forward and claim their title deeds from the City. The Human Settlements Directorate is working full steam ahead and we will be in many more areas to assist all eligible residents. All interested beneficiaries may contact the Human Settlements Directorate via the call centre or visit their nearest City Housing office for information or additional assistance,’ said Councillor Pophaim.
